From switching the table on to going live: how players log in, how to create and start a match, what the box scores on its own, which buttons correct it, and the settings worth changing. Screenshots are from a live box running a demo match.
This is the operator screen of the CueSportAI box. The scoreboard fills the left side. On the right, three tabs: Control for scoring, Matches for creating and reviewing matches, and Settings. The box scores automatically from the camera; the buttons are there for corrections.
Players attach themselves to the match with their phone.
Players log in by scanning a QR code with their phone. Tap the QR on a player card, or use the Login buttons on the Matches tab, choose Player A or Player B, and the player scans the code. Their name, avatar and stats then attach to this match. Guests can simply have their name typed in.
Names, best of, format and handicaps.
On the Matches tab, type or search each player, set Best Of, and tick Apply Handicap only if you want the registered handicaps applied. Press Start Match for a standard fifteen-red frame, or open Match Setup for more options.
Match Setup holds the full options: game mode, including multi-player snooker, Century, Polo and Team Doubles; best of; the game format from fifteen reds down to one red or a timed shootout; a shot timer; and handicaps. Cloud Match loads a match created in the app, and Practice starts a free session with no rules.
The box scores. The buttons are for corrections.
After Start Match the box waits for the break-off. Set up the rack, choose who breaks with Switch Breaker or the coin toss, then tap Continue. Scoring is paused until the rack is ready.
Frame one is live. The active player is highlighted, the ball on shows in the centre, and the detector strip below the reds counter shows which balls the camera can see. From here the players just play; the AI scores every pot, foul and miss.
Pots appear on the scoreboard as they happen: the break, the score, reds remaining and points on the table. If the camera ever misses a ball, press the numbered ball button to score it by hand; the label shows manual so you can tell the two apart.
A miss switches the players automatically. The Switch button does the same by hand, for example after a safety the camera could not read.
Fouls are called automatically and announced. To enter one yourself, use F-4 to F-7 for the foul value, or Touching Ball, Free Ball and Foul-and-Miss Re-Spot for the special cases.
Any call can be reversed. Back removes the last event and restores the previous state, on the scoreboard and in the detector.
Show Stats opens frame and match statistics for both players: high break, clearances, balls potted, pot percentage, fouls and more. Frames opens the frame-by-frame history.
Voice, announcements, cloud and uploads.
Settings starts with the AI Scoring switch and the detector status, then the announcer language and voice. Pick the language, choose a voice, and use the speaker button to hear a sample.
Under Announcements you choose how the box calls the next player, for example just the name, or name, your turn, or a custom word, and you switch each optional call on or off: nice shot, cue ball warning, respot colour, applause, nice snooker, great escape and good safety.
Cloud Active syncs scores to the CueSportAI portal, and Environment shows whether the box is on the live or the test system. The Match row gives quick access to Stats, the Kiosk player display, the QR code for this table and the match editor.
With a YouTube account connected, the box can upload break clips automatically. Set the minimum break in points and the privacy of the uploads.
Preview, consent, broadcast.
The Streaming section has Go Live, Stop and Preview. Preview shows exactly what the stream would send without publishing anything. The scoreboard overlay style and Room Sound, which mixes the room microphone into the stream, are set here too.
Go Live first shows the privacy notice. Confirm that everyone visible has consented and that the broadcast is public on your platform, then press Accept and Go Live. The status badge at the top turns live and Stop ends the broadcast.
What the players see, and closing the match.
The kiosk is the screen the players see at the table: the same scoreboard, the ball on, breaks and announcements, plus a QR code to log in. It needs no operator.
End Frame closes the current frame; End Match finishes the match. The box explains what will happen, awards any frame still in progress, posts the result and switches to the match summary.
Ended matches move to the Recent list on the Matches tab, marked Cloud when they were synced. Tap one to reopen its stats. You are ready for the next match.
